Rev. Dr. Stephen Faulk
Dr. Stephen Faulk is a native of Union Springs, Alabama. The son of Mrs. Mae Lizzie Faulk and the late Rev. Evins Faulk, Sr. who was born in a devout Christian family of ten children, Dr. Faulk understood early in life the path that God had chosen for him which was to be a blessing in the earth by providing spiritual, educational, emotional, financial, and political leadership and instruction.
Dr. Faulk believes in and values education. He has earned a number of degrees from respected colleges and universities.
Dr. Faulk is a public school educator for more than 25 years. He has been a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and presently a district administrator serving as System wide School Improvement Specialist for Lee County Schools. In addition, he has served as an educational consultant for Alabama State University and Auburn University.
In addition to being an educator, Dr. Faulk is a pastor (30 years) and presiding elder of the Opelika District of the Alabama Conference for five years. He began preaching at the age of 18. In 1991, he began pastoring Hicks Chapel AME Zion Church followed by St. Paul, Tyson Chapel, Rocky Mountain, Cornerstone, Fitten Chapel AME Zion Churches. Since 2003, he has served as the pastor of Auburn AME Zion Church in Auburn, Alabama. In addition, he pastors Thompson Chapel AME Zion Church in Opelika, Alabama.
Dr. Faulk is a son, community activist, global change agent, an educator, a pastor, a counselor, a humanitarian, a chef, but he is most proud of being the father of two beautiful children, Joshua Malachi and Rachel Micaiah Faulk.
